Okay so looking at some precision vbands at work today, I found this. The 3" one will not work. Way too small as it is meant for T3 turbine vband housings.

The T4 one uses 4" tubing, but the OD is 92mm. so it will line up perfect. The ID though was like 78mm or so. It tapers down from the 4" tubing.

so your saying i need to get a 4" vband set for the turbo housing? hmm, that doesnt sound right, can you get pics to show me?
its just that damn vband edge that catches onto the turbo housing, maybe if i trim it with a dremel? otherwise ill extend the turbo housing with some straight pipe and use both vband flanges

No you need to get a T4 vband flange which uses 4" tubing to connect to it. Regular exhaust tubing flanges are generally different than turbo vbands.

T3 vbands generally use 3" tubing and T4 vbands generally use 4" tubing.


The OD on the precision T4 vband is 92mm, exactly what you posted.

then i would need to get a 4" to 3" reducer, cuz my entire exhaust line is 3"
