im considering a master power turbo for my bmw project cause i cant find a decent holset cheap around me and all the ones on ebay look like ---- and come with stupid v band compressor outlets and gated turbine housings etc..


so what up with these bdm jungle turbos? i know there made in brazil but there site kinda sucks and they dont seem to have compressor maps not that i understand those. anyone proven these things any good?

 

Lot of Mustang and Supra guys seem to have good luck with them. LSx crowd is sort of catching on with similar results.

 

i checked that lsd site he seems to have dropped them, wonder why. if anyone knows where to get them for the cheap let me know i want to see some prices, i wanted to run a holset but if i can get one of these for like $150 more its tempting..

otherwise its keep wasting time searching ebay/craigslist/forums for a holset, or i found a hx35 for $300 with non-wastegate 16cm housing but the guy lives 1.5 hrs away and wont even drive 5 minutes to meet me and he works oposite hours i do, and he said he never used it but it spins good not too much play..

 

tell that guy $200 or $250 and you'll pick it up. ---- bdm, holsets are gangsturrrrr. If you show up on his doorstep with a wad of cash, i doubt he'd turn you down.

 

ya im thinkin about it. im gona be pissed if he says no and i just drove an hour. he might get robbed

 

They are basically GARRETT turbos.
I used one on my H22.
what's written on the housing is the only difference from everyday's garrett snail.

 

I talked to LSD about them as I had a buddy wanting one a while back, He said they where pretty good turbo's, but support from the company was a pita. And for the cost difference a garret was the way to go.

People have had lots of luck with the t70's

But make sure it isn't one of the ssauto "master power" turbos. After SS had the housing failures they where buying housings from Master Power for a while and slapping their cdm guts into them.
