Check out turbo shops in your area. I did that & found a guy that'll custom make me a tubular header type manifold for $400. First I mounted the header flange on the engin, then we positioned the turbo-a nissan t3, where it would go-with the turbo flange in place. Then he welded 3 rods from the header flange mounted on the engine to the turbo flange which was in the position where the turbo will fit. Then he removed the turbo jig which is the header flange & the turbo
flange joined together by 3, 1/4" metal rods in the position where the turbo would go. Then from there the guy takes it to his shop & welds on the exhaust tubings. I did that last monday & I should get it today. My car is a 99 civic si. It's not a log type manifold. It's an equal length
tubalar header manifold which will allow me to keep the ac &
i have to modify the internal wastegate actuator rod so it clears the fans, kinda easy to do.

im curious, when you made your flange, how thick did it become and did it leak at all? and do you got some pix of the turbo mounted to the mani? thanks
