Default manifold woes

I got the manifold I ordered and I'm not sure I'll be able to use it. I haven't tried bolting it to the car yet, but there is an obvious bend to the (engine) flange. When laid on a level surface, each end is at least 1/8 - 3/16" away from that surface. It looks like it was warped when it was welded. I have to say, it doesn't look like the prettiest welding job either, but I can live with that. I just don't see any way it will seal. Am I crazy or should I send it back? That is only one Issue I've got with it, but it is the main one. Please let me know if you think this mani will work ok.

It is just a little under 1/2". I just don't see why I should have to pay to fix something that I just paid for new.

I'd like to give the guy a chance first. I'm going to email him today and I'll let you know how it turns out. BTW, he does come around homemadeturbo.com sometimes. If he makes it right it'll be ok with me, he did try to take care of the shipping time by throwing in an extra part, but it doesn't fit great. Grrr. I'm thinking he is less shady than inexperienced Anyway, I'll post when it is over and let you know how it turned out.

Don't use it than say it was warped becuase than it looks like your at fault. I'd send it and demand a new one instead of paying a machine shop to plane it. Most likely its going to leak so why take that chance?

No way! I just emailed him about the issues and I'm going to see what he says. I'm not about to bolt that thing up! I can see where my post might have looked like that. Thanks for the tips everyone.
