Default Making Your Own BOV?

I thought of taking up the task since I got access to Lathe and Mill. It seems simple enough, A cylinder, a piston with seals, and a spring with a nipple for vacuum in the chamber. I dont wanna get in to detail but you all get the point. I think its worth it IMHO since it would cost a fraction of the Big 200$ BOV's from HKS.

You don't really have to have seals, just tight tolerances and oil (like alot of bov's)

so if you want to make it last, use tight tolerances and use a good quality lube, no seals. Take a look at alot of bov's they dont have seals.

i'm planning on making one for myself as soon as i get some time! there really isn't that much to them. you only need 2 o-rings, a body, top cap and plunger with a spring and a fitting for a vac line like you said. you could do everything out of round stock on the lathe if you wanted and add some holes on the mill after to bolt it together.

some of these things like motor mounts and BOV's are sometimes cheaper just to buy them from a company since they mass produce them and they're usually cheaper than you can make them yourself becuase of it. And remember time is money

Well, as far as I'm concerned almost every dump valve on the market is hugely overpriced. Damn ricer parts are always overpriced.
