? on making adapter plate
alright i have a friend making me an adapter plate to put a 14b on an HF manifold. from just glancing at the gasket for the HF manifold over the 14b exh. housing he said it looked like the holes overlapped...anyways, to make the plate, i should make off the holes on the exh. housing on the turbo on the plate, drill them out and make sure they line up right on the plate, then put the HF gasket over the drilled out 14b adapter plate and cut the holes out from there? i thought i saw a post somewhere covering this here but couldn't remember if i did or not...can anyone help me out? damn if i had the tools i would just do it myself because he doesnt really know whats going on...

Re:? on making adapter plate
i have different turbo, but i just used two plates and had them welded together. i drilled each plate and tapped/threaded each one and screwed in bolts and then cut the heads off (instant studs). worked out well. you can look at it here for ideas:

ok thx. thats actually something he recommended to do right off the bat. using two plates and making instant studs and welding the plates together...i just assumed there was a better way since so many people sell the 14b-hf manifold adapter plates...

did you read the article in the tech section?

Its a little tricky to get the gaskets aligned properly so the bolts dont overlap..
