Default main bolts

are the main bolts in the LS motors good or shuld i use arp main studs just thought i would ask before i order my head studs im only looking to make 350 to the wheels but i dont know about the hoda main bolts thanks

Main studs on all b-series motors can handle some serious abuse, I wouldnt worry about upgrading them. For 350 at the wheels I'd assume you already have aftermarket rods, if not the LS rod bolts are pretty weak and would definatly need to be upgraded.

thanks for the help i will be useing scat h beams and probe pistons arp head studs so i hope that i will be back on the road asap

ARP makes some good rod bolts for an upgrade as well. You should look into them.

CHEAP and EASY upgrade. I've notice them good for stock and some abuse on them but FOR I I'm lsvtecing mine and notice the rod bolts breaking on alot of other lsvtec's I think the cuase is the extra rev's. I'm doing a whole build anyway so poops LOL
