lsvtec crx turbo (downpipe problems)
i have a 1989 crx with a lsvtec swap. i used a 14b mitsu turbo and the way the o2 housing lines up it will be very very difficult to manuver any sort of down pipe. can anyone help??

You will need to dent, smash or cut/trim the crossmember to make it clear.Your best bet is to buy a flange and build a downpipe instead of using the OE o2 housing. That or buy a aftermarket traction bar/cross member setup from LSD motorsports they make for tons of room for the o2 housing

Or do one even better...you need to make a custom fit manifold like i did in my pic over there <--------...it's pretty much the exact same setup except just a regular LS in my hatch. If you angle the turbo back slightly and tilted slightly it'll give you just enough room for clearance for a downpipe, and you can even use the factory o2 housing that came on the turbo. No bending stuff, no hacking stuff, and best of all, you can even run the factory internal wastegate actuator and leave it bolted right to the turbo Only limit is your imagination and your fabrication skills.
