Has anyone used this combo? I calculated I could in theory hit 118mph in third gear with 24.5" slicks at 9000rpm. That would be pretty mean if you ask me. Just wondering if anyone has used this long geared transmission with a high revving motor. I wonder how second gear would be at the track.

 

I have an LS hydro tranny on my b16 turbo.
1st - 38-42 @ 8200
2nd - 68-72 @ 8200
3rd - 105-107 @ 8200
4th - 132-135 @ 8200
5th - not trying to kill myself on stock suspension.
You might be able to pull off 118mph at 9k and those slicks
If it doesn't work then just use 4th to finish because the easiest/fastest gearshift is from 3rd to 4th

 

The speeds above were on 15s with 205-50 tires on them

JD had said 5th gear is unsupported on a Honder so applying the upper echelon of your power band wouldn't be a good idea if you're making some serious numbers.
