im cutting the stock spring myself. figure might as well bring the boost down and then just hold whereever with a boost controller

 

yeah but there's limitations to that. holding more than 2x the wastegate setting with an mbc is a bad idea.

I have a friend who has access to a ---- load of springs at an industrial warehouse.

give me some good pics of it, and dimensions and i'll look into the same size different rate springs for you.

 

next time i go to class ill measure mine uncut. would a valve spring compression measurer thingy work. cant remember its name for the ------ life of me. I also found this site with parts for em, but its a bit high.

If you have an acurate scale and a dail indicator you can determine the force exerted by the spring and how much deflection it has, from the you can determine the spring rate. I'm going to try this someday when I have time.

 

any luck with it yet anyone. i havent even looked at mine in 2 weeks. Anyone cut there spring or try a different spring
