low budget FWD traction ideas..

well, I got beat down by a Camaro SS last night.. not sure what he had done but from a roll I was hanging, from a dig he ------- left me while I played "spin the tires" off the line. (this wasn't on a residential road and no traffic)

So I'm looking for some ideas to lower 60' times a bit without spending a small fortune.

1.) super stiff rear spring/strut combo
2.) traction bars
3.) more weight up front

any other ideas?

traction bars help, couple sponsors have some good stuff to use to make you own

don't forget unless you like being bounced to death, changing to stiff rear springs is not the way to go. if this car is a dd, i would build some suspension limiters for the rear.

more weight up front? just scoot your seat all the way foward before you take off ;)

people say solid motor mounts help, havent tried it yet though so im not speaking from expirience... throw some 3M window weld in them, see what happens.

Solid mounts work great if you good tires. ;D

Only draw back I have is I have solid mounts, rt-615's, and a high torque capacity clutch and I go through 2 stock cv-axles per side per year. :o

Window weld is great for motor mounts and is only $15

It takes awhile to dry though.

i actually used construction adhesive on mine.. it's REALLY solid.. there is absolutely no give whatsoever and I no longer break the 96-00 style driver side mount :)
best part is it was only about $3 for the tube
