Re:a little help please... getting ready to start my HMT setup!!!
also, i hear that a starion intercoller is a pretty nice piece to use on a hmt setup.... how do you feel about that
is it necisary to modify the end tanks to go straight through, cause i really dont want to have to do that extra work..
also does it need to face a certain way or can either side be the front depending on how my charge piping is going to fit??
one for thing, since i know know i can use the 14b o2 housing, do u thing the best thing to do yould be just make a flange and bolt it up to the stock o2 housing flange
and what DP size would u recomend..... right now its a 1.5l motor, going into a stock exhaust, but in a year may be a 1.6 sohc vtec going into a turbo back ... just looking to have some fun cause its not my daily driver

if you weld the turbo to the adapter plate and the turbo messes up then you can cut the turbo off the plate. i had a shop cut my o2 housing right where it bolts upto the turbo. they did it with a huge powered hack saw that cut through the thick cast iron like a hot knife through butter. all they charged me was $10. it was a marine fabrication shop in my city.

To answer all of your questions in one simple phrase, "Anything will work for your HMT setup if you make it work."
If you don't want to do extra work, buy a kit and save yourself the trouble. If you want to build a kit, be prepared for dumbass remarks, feeling stupid about it and then doing the research you should have done in the first place. If after all of that, you still can't find it, ask again.
HMT's aren't hard and it's not rocket science, but it will take time to learn and find the right stuff, so save your one post with a zillion questions for a month from now and see if you can't narrow it down a little.
It is frustrating to be a non-turbo-noob, but 6 months from now, when you're finally boosting, you'll be flaming noobs like there's no tomorrow... That's just how it is...
