Little bmw motor build update
Today had its issues but went well overall. One major hang up I had was that the pin that the timing chain guide sits on was knicked up so I ordered a new one. Well, that was easy, but the hard part was getting the old pin out! My friend welded a bead around the end of the pin and we used a pair of vice grips welded to a slide hammer to get it out. Worked! After that it was smooth sailing, mostly.

I don't know how HMT is about cross-linking to other forums. I have an all-inclusive huge build up thread on bimmerforums I can link to if allowable. |
Re: Little bmw motor build update
Dude you can basicly call a moderator a -------face assfuck. I don't think they'll mind a direct link to a bimmer forum.
btw this is his hmt thead: https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...?topic=72190.0 I've been looking at this more lately, since I've decided once I get a 'real' job after school, I'll be using MS to tune my own inline-6 powered car, and so far a '95 M3 with the 3.0L seems to be the best bet. Cept I want a good weekend car that has good power but fast spool. |
Re: Little bmw motor build update
