high boost isnt 10-12psi with the right management.

I know a guy here, who runs 15psi on a stock a6 tuned with a afc. it didnt last long, but it worked. its all in how you tune it.

(i would never run over 10psi in a daily driver, i would run 12 at the track, with stock internals)

point made, with correct fuel management, you will have no problem running 8-10psi on your 120,000 motor.

I turbod my DelSol (D16z6) at 120k. Running Uberdata tuned. No problems so far at 6psi 3000 miles later.

I only have 30 more days with my car, so im gonna make the best of it. and about the ignorance part...i am telling nothing but the truth. call it ignorance if you want to, but its the truth, so...take it for what you will. ooohh yeah, someone mentioned something about maxing out there car in 4th gear, the other day on my second trip i had the perfect oppertunity to max out my car, maxed out every gear, once i was in 5th gear, the car wouldnt go past 5000 rpm's. thats with the speed limiter disabled. i drive my car the way i want to...havent had to many problems with it yet. the jb welded hole in the block is still holding also, incase if anyone cares.
I honestly don't care too much what you do with your personal car. But telling people that you can go turbo untuned, jump on the high way and start doing some 70mph pulls to red line is DUMB. Period. But it is cool that single cams are a hell of a lot cheaper to play around with. That is why I have one too. I do like the JB weld though, I wouldn't expect anything less from your setup. Made everything work, espscially that chain. I almost pulled one of those off a while back, but my chain link was retarded. So I just used a 14B wastegate instead of a 16G.

it really doesnt matter how many miles you have on your car. its how well its been maintained. my car had 212k miles on it when i boosted it. ran good at 10 psi. and if i would have left it at 10 psi im pretty sure the motor would still be kickin today. haha. but 15 psi with a map that was tuned for 10 psi just doesnt work out very well. but oh well. those things are a dime a dozen. just boost it. dont beat the crap out of it day in and day out. if you want to be safe just get a safe street tune because thats what your car will see everyday. good luck

not to worried about compression...

or cyl walls...

and like i said...this guys question has been anwsered. "can i boost a 120,000 mile motor" yes.

Depends on how many hard runs you do, I toasted a motor in 15k but it was beat hard.

What 93turboB16 said about 4th gear pulls and untuned basemaps was true. Frank, 5 psi ain't ----!! That's why it's holding up fine.
