kkk k26 on a t3 flange
Here is the deal. I had searched through this forum for two weeks now. Very, very infomative and helpful for getting a grip on how to put together a system for my D16y7. I put did a search for kkk k26 turbos and everybody said that it should fit a T3 flange, but nobody ever replied to say if it fit or not. Being the optimist I am I figured sure, if they say it will work, it probably does. I got my k26 yesterday and it doesn't even come close to fitting the T3 flange. Any way It pissed me off for about two seconds. Luckily I have friends that have the capabilities to remedy this minor set back and i should be boosted soon. Just to wanted to post to make sure someone does not make the same mistake I did.

You couldn't tell by the pic. they have on here about the KKK's. Honestly.... from what I see Triple K turbo's are some of the hardest turbo's to work with cause of their flange type's aren't commen like the T series and T25's. My friend got a brand new KKK turbo off a GTi ( We both work at the same dealership.. he's on VW , I'm on Mazda )He was going to use it on his B16 even though I told him it was going to be soo small of a turbo for that motor. Anyway he stopped half way though because it was becomig impossible to find someone to make a manifold with that flange and make a down pipe. If I was you I'd just try selling it and buying a T series so to say ( TD04, T3, T25, etc. )

Hey man, thanks for posting that. I had the same question a week ago and a couple people told me it would fit too.
Hopefully this will clear up a lot of questions.
As far as the flanges..., I just made my own, I went to Lowe's and bought a 8"x8" sheet 3/8"of metal and made the O2 housing flange and the one for the manifold. It looks and works great

Wel I do know that the T3 flange fits on the k26, cause me and a friend of mine used a T3 flange for his K26 turbo.
The flange on the turbine housing had some peaces cut off, maybe that's why it fit.The K26's turbine housing inlet is round and the k27's is square like the T3.

Cool I hope it works out. My friends has a 1.8T GTi with the stock turbo he's pushing 21PSi and runnin 13.5's. He even sent the boost gauge back to autometer to make sure it was right and calibrated wrong. They're nive little turbos and I almost bought a 1.8T GTi but I've worked on VW's before and honestly... the 1.8T's you can make fast very easly with very little money but VW is the biggest pieces of garbage... with window regulators going bad , radio problems, and coil packs going bad left and right... it just wasn't wrht the headache. Good luck though I'd like to see how it works out.
