KKK K26 for a B16Z6
Hey...
I found a decently-looking KKK K26 turbo off a Audi 5000 CD ('8. I can get it for a very good price... Would this turbo be good for a D16Z6 ('95 Si), or should I forget that idea and look for a DSM TD05h 14g.
Which one of these turbos would be better for my application?
Which one would spool-up faster, and give more boost?
Thanks,
Peter

Re:KKK K26 for a B16Z6
I think the K26 would provide lots more boost but will spool a bit slower. The K26 turbos also come on the Porsche 911 turbos, and they create alot more exhaust than a civic but I want to put a K26 on my car when I get my new one, but I think it will be a bit to big for a non-boxer engine.

Re:KKK K26 for a B16Z6
The K-26 is perfect a friend of mine uses it on a 1.3L Swift GTI. not to much lag though. And that turbo is acctually a bit small for the Porsche, that's why most people in germany replace it for a K-27.
The K-26 is just like a mid sized T3 is some ways.
I would go for it if it is in a good condition.

A T3/T4 hybrid os bigger than that.
Do you really think that it would LAG more than the
DSM 14g?
Yes, but it is worth it you get better top end and you get more cfm...more power.
Would I need a fuel pressurizer, and a fuel pump if I used this turbo (KKK K26)
Depends...If that is your fuel management than yes FPR with fuel pump, but don't boost higher than 6-7 psi.
If you go with bigger injectors and S-AFC you don't need a bigger fuel pump untill you go past 10-11 psi.
What kind of a chip would be good for that application?
Would a EBAY (Mugen turbo) chip be sufficient, or is there something better than that?
Don't go with the mugen chip if you are planning on putting a turbo, it advances your timing big time and that's a big No No with turbo. shortys meant chipping his ecu himslef I think using ghettodyne or dropshop etc.
