Actually bottom end's are near the same, but unfortunatly the piston's on a E are flat, while the DE are cupped, Either than that pretty much the same

A 14b will NOT make that much power. It just wont, sorry. Ask any dsm guy, we've been running the ---- out of 14b's for years, since thats what the dsms come stock with, well 1st gens anyway. But you will not get 400 hp out of a 14b. You'll be damn lucky to break 300 with one.

Since a Nissan t25 and a 14b are about the same size I would say you couldnt make more than 275whp on a 14b and that would even be a stretch. People have pushed t25's up to 14psi or so but they suck and dont flow enough air.

Also to all the SOHC haters, no love for SOHC's? The E is like the D series of Ka's its a little harder to make big numbers but it can be done. Nobody does it becuase, why would you do it when de's are like 300 bucks.

A 14b can flow 405cfm and maxes out at just over 20psi. Lots of people have broken the 300whp mark on a stock 4G63 soley on boost alone. They last about 3-6 months at those boost levels though. At 15-17psi you're not going to be breaking 300whp at all. Greddy turbos suck ***, but the 18g will be much more fun because it'll have a much better top end and can definitely support 20+psi for awhile. If you're only gonna be running 7lbs then a 14b will be fine, but you're gonna be lucky to break 200whp. I say sell the crappy 18g and the 14b and then buy a MHI e316g for sub 400whp levels on the KA. An 18g powered "drag" car is just a quick import btw and you'll be hard pressed to break 12's which isn't much of a drag car at all.

Mine lasted 2 years living at 22psi on my "customized" 14b.

Greddy 20G is a thing of beauty for the proper setup. 20g comp/turbine wheels with a t3 turbine is verry verrry nice.

18G is a waste of money.
