just a thought

Re:just a thought
I'm glad to see I'm not alone on this one. I too understand that not everyone has the same knowledge. I just wish that people would learn more about what they already have before trying to increase its output. I originally bought my first CRX from a junk yard for $300. I bought a Chilotns and Haynes manual right after. My main intention was to make this a show car. I was gonna clean it up get the front end repaired add some 17"s a system, blah blah blah. Up until then that's all I ever knew about cars. I ended up beside a red CRX at a stop light on the way home from geting the front repaired. The guys got his car slammed a loud muffler and all that stuff i thought was pointless on a little Honda. He revs at me I nod back and next thing I know I'm in my first race. Something about it grabbed me. By next week I sold my dirtbike, the Image dynamics 15"s and Soundstream 500 amp, and was ready to go fast. I bought performance mags and books and tried to learn all I could, theres a lot of misinfomation out there. A few months later I was buying any part I didn't have basically. I made some bad buys and used to pay some one else to do work i was intimidated by in the beginning(big mistake). After all the reading and research and 6 years later I'm still learning. I have done countless swaps, mini me's, suspension mods, and now I'm dealing with turbos.(the best mod so far)I have owned dsms, hondas, nissans, toyotas, and even a ford and chevy(trucks).
The thing is you never stop learning; I just get bothered when people are just interested in making their car faster than that guy at the mall, and think that since its been done then someone else should just hand them the answers on a silver platter to anything they have trouble with so they dont have to think or learn for themselves.
