LS gm motors have electric smog pumps, might be able to find a used one semi cheap.

I was wondering when running a vac pump in the crankcase was going to hit the honda scene..

it aids in ring seal, and blow by control, especially on f/i cars. it creates a vacuum in the crankcase there for the rings aren't subjected to all the pressure of the compression and combustion. google it and see, there are more eloborate answers i am sure.
