Default jdm d15b carnage

this is what happens when you put down 257whp and 211 torque on a stock jdm d15b

wow what a hole. What was the a/f ratio on that engine. Did it run lean?

a/r was perfect was running just on the rich side. thats all she will handle. the rods are as big as my index finger.lol

when they said stock rods were good to 225-250 hp......you should have lsitened

Just slap the crank into a D15B7 block and try again

No ----. That black EF hatch with the stock d16z6 in it doing 300whp is still running. It was tuned by Jeff Evans, and I know a local guy that raced him at nopi or whatever. Albeit its well cared for when not doing 11-second passes, and not putting a lot of miles on it. :P

You can't beat on a car like that; taking one pass at the 1/4 requires you let it cool completely afterward or you shitcan it. General street duty heatsoaked mayhem is a no-no.

I could tell there was a problem by the rod through the block... the first thing that goes in any turbo Honduh is the ringlands, sometimes for no reason. Rods through blocks are never without reason.
