Default jb weld strength

this may be hard to explain. but i will try.
the charge pipe i have to the tb has a flange for the greddy bov. i am putting a blitz on it. i had to not only remove the flange but also the little section of pipe coming off the charge pipe to the flange. the pipe is 2". the id of the blitz bov is considerably smaller.

I made a cover to cover up the hole from the previous section of pipe leading to the flange. from the cover i will put on a new section of pipe leading to the flange for the blitz bov.

i basically want to know if i can use jb weld to put the flange on the pipe, and that pipe on to the charge pipe. the max psi this kit will see is 15psi. (i am not going to start out at 15psi) but i want it to be stable to run that next year.

if anyone knows if the jb weld will work let me know. if i dont jb weld it i will have it welded (i dont have a welder). that is why i kinda want to jb weld it.

jb weld will hold just fine as long as you prep the material properly before you "weld" any contamination can keep it from being a good bond so clean it well.

alright.. thanks. i have jb welded things in the past.. oil pan..etc. but i haven't welded something that needs to stand up to any real psi. i know that 15psi is not a whole lot.. but i dont want to jb weld it, have it break and then have to remove all the jb weld. cause that stuffs smells like crap if you use a grinder on it.

It will probably work. As a noncertified autotech, my official opinino is Probably. But remember, there is nothing more embarasing than driving a girl around and having your bov blow off while racing a dsm.
