What is the stock wastegate set at? After months messing around with the turbo in my car, (see here https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...threadid=15758) I'm still running only at most 4 psi. After reading and searching more, this turbo in the car, Mazda MX6, boosted 7psi stock but it also use some boost solenoids to control or increase the preasure the thing you see here in this picture, connecting the nipple on the housing to the wastegate.

I do not have that in the car mine is just going straight to the wastergate like this

no solenoid or anything I just go straight from one nipple to the other. Can this be the reason why is boosting so low, and at like 4500 rpm. I don't know what else to do, I have no air leaks, I check everything like 20 times, the BOV opens now, but it doesn't sound loud at all. I don't know, I'm frustrated. I thought of using a manual boost controller, to raise the boost and see if that helps. Anyone

I'm using a greddy type S. I want to get this running right because I'm already having thoughts of selling it to put more money in the WRX, But when I bought the WRX I promised myself I would keep it stock and put money in the civic. I find myself buying stuff for the WRX and not doing anything to the hatch, so now I'm determined to finish the hatch an have it run good.
