Re: Interesting Civic Turbo Kit
Couldn't you still run a normal turbo like that? Have your oil pressure going in the same oil inlet, you'd just need a longer return line. It sits higher than my turbo does, so it seems like it would still be decent for gravity drain, unless the slope is too shallow. You may need to tilt the turbo on it's side but it doesn't seem like it'd be too huge of an issue.
What do you guys think?

Those turbos are very nice. Very versitile and compact. They also use VNT technology, which lowers the boost threshold significantly. I would sport one those anyday.
Foil bearings are awsome, just not proven yet on reliability when it comes to cycling the engine.

Re: Interesting Civic Turbo Kit
yea, ive heard about crazy remote mount turbo systems for camaro's. They use twin aerochargers mounted where the ------- mufflers are. Wouldnt you think there would be a massive amount of lag with that much piping? I think there is some kind of valve that keeps pressure in the pipes all the time. Pretty gay if you ask me, Dont try to reinvent the turbo system, its already perfected. Just the turbocharger itself...
