Default intercooler question

I have a JRC intercooler with 2.25'' openings on either side. My question is that the air would probably flow better if i had 2.25'' charge piping, right? Would it hurt my car's power if i had 2.5'' charge piping? I'm just asking this because i have been given a good deal on 2.5'' charge pipes, but i'm hesitent as to if it will not be as efficient as 2.25 charge pipes. Thanks for any help on this topic.

It won't effect flow neccessarly. the extra diameter pipe will just take a little longer to pressurize(turbo lag) dont worry about it though, tons of people do what your talking about with no problems
