Default Intercooler bracket need help??!!

Hey guys, I bought this Turbo kit with IC right. The IC doesn't have any bracket so I guess i have to make one. I know IC are made of aluminum, thats what my mechanic friend said, so I bought a flat aluminum from Home depot and make a "L" shape bracket and weld it with aluminum mig or welding stuff only for aluminum. Is this correct or should I make a steel "L" shape bracket and weld it to IC like your welding steel to steel Thanks for the help guys!!

this is like the basics of fabrication, if you can even call it that....do what you want.....if you want to weld a bracket to the ic and then bolt it to your car use the aluminum, if you dont want to weld a bracket to your ic then use the steel and weld it to your car, or ---- the welding part all together, and just bolt it on

How about you spend 40 cents and use 4 HEAVY DUTY zip-ties

Make sure they are descent zipties but many people just use the zippies, mines been on my car with 3 actually for the last 3 months

Just around the front crash bar and the lower rad support, works fine

Obviously, making/welding/fabing a bracket onto the intercooler then bolting it to your car is the best most secure method, but unessecary if u ask me

Word I used zip ties on my first FMIC work fine, the charge piping will also help hold it in place...my new JRC IC had threaded nuts welded on top...maybe just try and weld some alum nuts on to with a tig and that way its a little more universal

That and the ic piping but I used a few zip ties just in case. Even drove it through winter without them cracking or breaking.
