Default idle surge

i just boosted my d16y8, and i have a weird idle surge, when i start my car up it idles at 3,000. then when the car warms up it bounces from 1,200 to 1,600. anybody have any ideas what this could be? i didn't get my car tuned yet, would that have anything to do with it?
