Default Idea!

Change yoour side mount air to air intercooler into an air to water by TIG welding aluminum sheets over where the air passes through the intercooler. Be sure to cut holes in it first for the water lines. Add pump, lines and resevoir and your set. just be sure not to burn any holes through it!

an air to water actually works the opposite way, but that can be done..

usually the water passes through a coil with fins inside the metal box, then the air flows over those metal fins, this creates greatest surface contact. works much like a heater core in your car does.
