IACV ownz me
Ok, i'll try to make it as clear as i can. My friend has a d16y7 with a d15b7 intake mani on it, chipped p05ecu (crome map) dsm 450's. The problem is when he put the ECU in the car we cant get it to idle right. Since his old IACV is a 3wire and the d15b7 intake mani has 2wires we were thinking that was a problem. so we wired it right to the ECU and RPM bounces from 1500 to 1700 hundred really fast, the car also drives like ----. If you disconect the iacv the RPM drops down to 300-400. If you have any ideas please post.

Re: IACV problems
OBD2 car with an OBD1 conversion, right?
You have the wrong wires run to the ECU. Needs fused power on one side of the 2p IACV, and the other side run to the correct pin on OBD1 ECU.
FYI: IACV is some useless ----, they do nothing. Get xenocron's Crome script for disabling IACV CEL, set idle with throttle stop and air bleed, and then readjust TPS. Problem solved.

Re: IACV problems
Yes, obd2-->obd1 conversion, how do i find out which wires are right, we just matched with the wiring colors from my ecu which is p06 here is the pic of what we did i'm assuming the yellow and black wire is power, you are saying i need to run a fuse or resistor in it.( did i understand it right?if yes could you tell me what kind of fuse and can i get it at radioshack?) i didnt find a crome script for disabling IACV CEL, because we might try to eliminate it if we cant get it to work. Thanks for the help.

Re: IACV ownz me
good to know about the cel disable script. id try xenocrons web page to try and find it. mines still hooked up but it was causing too many problems so i blocked it off with a block off plate and set idle like JD was saying. unfortunatly the IACV still can mess with fuel when its cold so it is better to unplug it.
