Default I think my turbo will stop smoking now...

Shes always smoked since ive had this turbo, its a 60/63, but the bearings are tight and the seals are good. Anyway, i could not get it to stop smoking, nomatter how much i fucked with the oil drain, so i was like... wtf? Anyway, last night, i took the turbo completely apart because i thought somthing wasnt right with it, and i took the turbine off, everything looks good, then i noticed that where the piston ring on the turbine fits in the centersection, behind it is a groove for the oil return to drain the oil out of the turbine side bearing... anyway i looked in that groove and oil drain and it was all coked up, which i thought was very strange considering the rest of the turbo was in very good condition and had no coking anywhere else... has anybody seen anything like this before?

could that be caused by oil getting backed up and sitting there when you turned the car off?
