Rebuilt Turbo ...still smoking.. untill now!!!!!!
i made a post awhile ago about my car smoking blue smoke like crazy, people told me to rebuild the turbo and i did and it didnt do ----, i did a compression test and it was 220 across the board, and then "Johnyquest" right here at HMT told me to use 15w50 mobil 1 oil, and guess what... no ------ smoke ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, THANK YOU JOHNYQUEST FOR NOT BEING GAY LIKE THOSE *** RAMMERS AT CLUBSI.COM. HOME MADE TURBO IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nah, I live in CT where it gets below zero some days of winter. It will get thicker, but synthetics handle changes in temp much better than normal oil. I leave the oil in my trunk (to add when needed up at school) and it still flows nice even as cold as it is.

yeah, but you shouldn't have to use 15w50 just to get no smoke, something else is the matter. did you get your oil psi checked, i bet that's the problem if you had the turbo rebuilt and it was still smoking. you didn't really fix the problem, even though i'm sure your stoked that it doesn't smoke anymore.

reducing the oil presure to the turbo is the solution, but the oil solution is just fine too.
I have a oil return leak issue and I'm using wal-mart POS oil, but when you loose a quart every 3 days it gets fresh POS oil twice a week..
