Default I removed the CEL light bulb from the gauge cluster....help = (

I removed the CEL light bulb in the instrument cluster cause ever since I got a 2 1/2" full exhaust no catalytic w/Apexi N1 style muffler the ------ CEL would come on. Even after I changed the o2 sensor cause a obd2 scanner said it was messed up.
I have the air sensor that goes on the plastic stock intake tube tie wrapped to another cable in the engine bay.
Is this sensor supposed to be removed? This is the only probable cause. I scanned the ECU yesterday and it said air/fuel monitoring, whatever that means. The car runs great so if anyone has something to contribute to this dilema shoot away. thanks in advance.

The IAT (Intake Air Temperature) Sensor is not a vital sensor and won't cause a Check Engine Light to illuminate. When you IAT is inoperative your engine simply turns to the CTS (Coolant Temp. Sensor) to determine an estimate temp. of intake air. fail safe.
The fact that your IAT is still operating, and still under the hood, its reading probably isn't too far off.

You're 0bd2 ecu said the O2 sensor was bad? And the ECU said "A/F Monitoring." I'm thinking that because the voltage coming back from the after-cat O2 was almost identical to the Sensor before it, your ECU thinks that you are running rich. Catalytic converters change unburned fuel (HC) into less unhealthy ----. When your HC's are high, you are running rich. Rich condition causes Check Engine lights to come on.

One more thing... DON'T JUST REPLACE PARTS!!!!!! Learn to trouble shoot.
