pics of the turck
the only 2 pics i have of my S-10 are of the front and when we pulled the old tired 350 out of her.

here are links to 'em:

(in this pics you can see the tail end of my boss's '74 corvette. we just dropped in a ZZ383 crate engine from GM in her. and i got his old 350 in my S-10 now .)

my S-10 is underconstruction. i'm doing all the performance and lowering before i send her to the body shop to get painted. i hope everything will be done in about 3 months time.

i know i know the question i'm about to ask is STUPID. BUT i have to ask it :

how does a manual boost controller work?

also, i have 3 turbo's: 1 is from a merkur T3 .60, IHI RBh5, and a diesel turbo off of a GM 6.7L.

would it be alright if i use my 2 small turbo's(T3 .60/IHI RBh5) together for my set-up?
or should i go with the BIG BOY diesel turbo?
and why?

thanks

I dont know the specs on that diesel turbo but sicksix on this site can probably tell you how it performs. Those two you have should work good for a twin setup though. What are you planning on doing for manifolds?A manual boost controller goes in between your vacum single for the wastegate/s and bleeds off some of the signal so the wastegate thinks it is at less boost than it is.They can be used to increase boost but not to lower past what the wastegate is set too.

it would be really benefitial to yourself if you researched how alot of these turbo parts work and what their function is (wastegate, bov, etc...) Once you have a firm understanding of how all these things work, it will help you to better decide how to build your setup, and what you do and dont need, and how to use each item you have properly... then things will go really smoothly for you

thanks for the link turbo_camaro.

i have another question:

-i'm trying to figure out the oil part of the build. and a friend of mine doesn't see how the oil gets back to the engine. anbd i tried to explain it to him. but them i got confused as well .

so how does the oil get back to the engine and not starve the engine of oil?

thanks

I just made a ½ inch return line from the turbo to the oilpan.
Just make sure you put it where there are no rotating parts at the place you put your return.
Otherwise oil could be splashed back into the return line.
Best to put it where you have a main cap.
And always put it above oil-level....... or as i do: as high as possible in the oilpan.
Make sure it doesn't have any kinks or sharp bends in it.
The oil doesn't like that........
For oil supply..... I just took out the original sender at the back of the block.
T'ed it from there. Oil pressure sender can than be put in the side of the block.
Just above the oilfilter......

Hope this helps....

I guess people dont know how to use the search feature on this site of vast information.
For starters check out the turboed sbc an i beleive there is a link to hangar18 for the carb modification. All i can say if you dont understand the workings of a wasgate then how are you gonna tune this sbc when you boost it.
