Default I need help with my 2000 accord coupe V6

Hello,

I'm new to cars and just purchased my 2000 accord ex coupe V6 ( Auto Tramission ). I want to know whats the best way to put more speed to it. ( Remember i am new to this ) My friend had a acura 3.2 TL, everytime he rips me by acceleration and on the highway. I need to know what i can do to put more torque or speed in this car. Everything on the car is orginal, I havent installed anything on it. WHat should i do?!. I need to keep within budget, so please give me some advices.

don't waste your money on headers, catbacks, or wetbacks for that matter, lol. a cold air intake $30. on ebay and some nitrous (nawwz) is the cheapest way to gain some big HP. other than that, you have a V6 and it's more difficult to instal a turbo in one of those, but it can be done. if you had a big budget, i'd say a twin turbo set up and you'll be getting 350 hp to the wheels. but for now, a 75 shot of nos will do the trick.

Whats the price for doing a twin turbo myself? Will turbo lower my engine life? Are there any disadvantges?

THanks for the reply

Holy crap man...that's a big question. I have never personally seen a twin turbo accord, but it is possible. You will have to do ALOT a research, and be ready to dump a significant amount of money if you want it be a street drivable type of setup. To answer your question, yes it would be possible to twin turbo it. No it would not be easy or cheap. If you do it, you would be my hero!!!

underdrive pulleys (aem, or copies), fpr, cai, msd, headers, throttle body, just to name a few.

the v6's are cool because the stroke and bore is perfectly square. not the best for high rpms, but does keep the harmonic vibration down.

The price for doing any kind of turbo yourself is relative to the quality of the setup. Fact: doing it yourself will be way cheaper than paying someone else to do it. *if you cheap, and i mean cheap, you *could do it for ~700. but you get what you pay for.

the turbo it self will not kill the motor quicker. any kind of forced induction will not kill a motor. poor tuning and cutting corners and not doing it right will kill your motor. you go cheap on almost everything having to do with your turbo setup. but again, if you have poor quality components you cant expect precision. this a pretty genral response, but jump in feet first, read, read, and read somemore. you can learn a shitload.

the word budget, and twin turbo setup don't belong in the same sentence. so i'd recomend-NAWZ! i think thet motor will handle a 100hp shot of NOS easy. oh and NOS is a breaze to install.

I heard that the accord auto trannys are slush boxes. So, you might need to do tranny work also, not sure. A TT Accord would be pimp tho, but if all else fails, joooce it up! Hook up a zex kit
