the missing link is not going to make any difference when your car is idling, you either hooked it up backwards or you have your safc settings wrong. All a missing link does is bleed boost to the map sensor and since your idling in vaccum the car should start and run (in vaccum) like normal. You don't need the missing link though.

haha, Jeff is right on about the ringlands. My buddy's car (BoostnLS) just had the same problem. At first we thought, bah it's just rings. Got the piston out and the ringlands just fell appart!!! But we rebuilt that bitch and had it running the same day.

Yup ringlands...happens a lot on stock boosted H22's.
Compression goes down.. a lot of boost lag...car is slow. |

i have a vafc and boost 11-12psi. no check valves or missing link. no CEL either cause i pulled that fucken bulb out! i hated that dam CEL turning on when i would go to 11psi. >:( |

Does ANYONE have a TRUE JDM 94 h22a rebuild bookwith ring gap specs and ----? I have went to all the links on here and everythign says its for 92-96 lude but i look at the exploded view picts and my motor looks completly different.

Damn you guys are ontop of your ----. As soon as I saw he said smoke came from the valve cover, I thought the same thing. Ring lands are gone. My B18 did that to me a week after boosting it. So far my Arias pistons are holding up. ;D
