I Hate BOOST
Actualy I hate BOOST problems. I am pulling my hair out here trying to figure out whats wrong wiht my car.
It has HUGE lag and even bigger hesitation.
I know all turbos have lag. but i have lag then when it spools it drops down and almost dies out then it picks up. No matter what it hesitates threw every gear and at every RPM. If i SLOWLY accel in to boost once it hits 7psi the A/F gauge PEGS lean and the car spits sputters and wont stay running unless i turn it off and then start it up again. and thats ONLY if i accelerate SLOWLY..
CEL comes on randomly... sometimes its EGR,, sometimes its knock, sometimes its MAP, sometimes its ALL of the above and sometimes it is one or the other.
This morning i went to work and it ran like ----... 1 hour later i drove it home to change over to my uniform (went to the gym) still ran like ----. Then after getting a shower and all i drove back to work again and it ran perfect. then i got to work and was there for an hour and went to run an errand and it ran like shti again..... WTF I have abotu had it with boost.
So far this is what i did to try to fix the problem:
New timing belt
new map sensor
adjusted the timing
checked and rechecked the VAFC wiring
Checked and rechecked the VAFC settings
new NGK plugs
new cap rotor
new MSD wires
tried with missing link, with out missing link,with bleader valves, with check valves, ECT ECT
Incase you dont know my set up..
H22A w/LSD
Turbonetics kit with t3/t4
DSM 450 injectors

The car woudnt stay running at all without the missig link.. i tried everything....
UPDATE: I just went to lunch and my car ran better than it ever has in its life. all power,no lag everything. BUT...... when i got back to work i sat there and let it cool off while it was running(i dont have a turbo timer) and noticed the idle was a lot lower than normal. So i poped the hood and saw smoke coming from the valve cover breather. and coming from the PCV valve hole. I honestly am to upset to think right now.... did i blow something? I didnt notice any smoke from exaust but i wasnt realy looking.....
