are you serious? i'd be willing to say that i've seen in person atleast 10 HF/STD/CX manifolds that were cracked and in a 100% stock car

not me.... i make mad logs, and ive used a hf mani. ill taKE A POERTED LOG ALL DY.

i agree with mr hotrex here. most logs have alot bigger runners than the most extreme ported HF manifold and its the same basic concept (plenum style with no real collector)
so bigger runners meen more power in some aspects.. on a smaller turbo (witch most likely will be going on a d-series.. ihi, t25...) wouldnt need huge runners. i would wrather have a better flowing manifold for that type of application. less bends=better flow... you be the judge

thanks for all the replies. i picked up 2 cause they were cheap....$10 each on ebay.....they didnt sell cause they never said hf or std or turbo manifold.....just d15 or d16 exhaust manifold. so they ended $10 each plus 25 shipping...for the money i set aside for 1, i got 2. for the 06, im just going for 250-275 whp. for 07 i might upgrade turbo, fuel pump, and ignition, and axles, get some slicks, and shoot for 3-350whp. bulding a d16z6 just eagle h rods, and still need advice on which pistons. depends on how much the stock sleeves can take. would i be better off filling the block, and get a block guard, just a block guard...or just leave it? im using a 14b for now, so i dont expect to get much higher than 250, for this year. and if anyone who is reading this has a 14b exhaust housing for sale, please let me know, i need one. thanks

I have only seen them cracked on stock cars because of the cat below it. I have never seen them crack on turbo'd cars.

I've seen very few hf manifolds crack, the only one I did see crack I just rewelded it real quick. I would also choose a well ported HF mani over a log manifold. I'm running around 270ish whp in my daily driver using a HF manifold and t3/t4 turbo. However you want to keep AC? thats not gonna happen with the HF mani and decently sized turbo. If you wanna keep AC definatly go with the log.

ahh, I accidently read the guys post below yours and thought it was you

I'm hoping to make 250-300whp with it...and AC

I just dont see how it's possible unless you have some crazy *** adapter plate.. Maybe a top mount HF mani? haha.
