After getting most of my turbo install done this weekend...minus a few wiring points( usuing stand-alone engine management) and needing to tap my pan for the return, Ive noticed my charge pipes have alot of movement in them...is this going to be a prob?

Nothing is hitting anything moving or hot, just have a bit of play...

Any input is greatly appreciatted!!

 

What do you mean buy play?

 

i think he meant the movement when you try to shake it.
mine has almost zero play

Mine also have none but I dont think it will hurt anything unless they pop apart

 

I agree...a little flex is acually a good thing, as long as nothing is rubbung, cutting, or blowing off...by the time I got my front clip jammed over my ic and piping it was pretty damn tight...

 

mine have a good bit of play and the one going from the ic to the intake manifold is annoying as ---- because everytime I jerk the gas a little I hear it banging against the hole it goes through.

 

what are you using for couplers? if the couplers are allowing it to have that much movement, they must be pretty weak. i have almost no movement in mine at all.

 

mine had play when i had lowes couplers but since moving to the real couplers thers not really any play at all

 

Im using silicone couplers, except one...and I think that might be the weak spot, as its Radiator hose. HMT style!!
