First time since my new engine, with the old one they've fallen apart like 8 times...
So am I the only one or are there other people brave enough to post it!

My PVC used to pop off the IC all the time. Even had to wedge in some carboard once at the track to keep the **** on there.

Using nitrile connectors with t-clamps on metal pipe now. Never a problem so far.

What kind of pipes/connectors you playing with?

Usually the first test drive we have one or 2 blow off, but then we always get them to stay on... HOSE CLAMP POWER!

 

Yeah, my first turbo Corolla drive, with 2 PSI of boost, I blew off a whole section of tubing, and it fell into the road. Me and my friend Josh jumped out and went and picked it up.... Must have looked funny.

 

when i first put my tubes on i didnt tighten the one that connected to the intake mani. and i was driving it fine and then my car reached 5 psi and i heard this huge ...umm ...sound... it sounded like my engine blew and when i pressed the gas my car was all loud becasue there was no intake, so we popped the hood and my heart stopped pumping so fast when i saw that the pipe was disconnected.. it was pretty funny

 

One time at band camp...... hehehe. my charge pipes fell off my car and it was like, so funny. hehehe

 

Ummm I've never had problems with my car yet, but my friend is always making his boost piping ghetto fabulous, and he always has problems. Just throw on a couple of short bead welds on all the metal pipe ends. That'll hold her good.

 

yeah all ghetto with PVC pipes hehehe.
If anyone uses PVC pipes a good thing is to put some window seal between the joint or silicone liquid gasket seal and clamp that suckaa...

 

I think this thread jinxed me. I have never had a problem with pipes coming off untill about 30 minutes ago. I was driving to the store and noticed I wasn't building boost anymore. I was trying to think why it wouldn't all of the sudden build boost the whole way to the store. I wasn't too concerned with it because the car was still running fine. The shitty part was on the way home. I knew I wasn't building boost and was cruising along when a swarm of bee's came up from behind me!!! I was like WTF? I couldn't see them, but it sounded like they were everywhere!!!!! Then I see this rice-mobile fly by me and slow down. He was in an Integra and kept gasing it and letting off. I was so pissed because I knew I could smoke that sticker wagon. I had to pass a race up tonight fella's. I'm sorry. When I got home I popped the hood and sure enough, the damn thing was just hanging there.
