I usually rape the hell out of the thing non-stop, never let it cool down after beating on it. Last time I took the turbo apart.....lets just say tony yayo would be jealous of the amount of coke on the shaft. I polised it up threw it back together and beat on it just as bad. big deal in the event its not fixable I'll just spend another $25 and get another at the junkyard, thats the best thing about chrysler's mitsubishi TEO4H's. I trip over them walking through the junkyards.

My local pick'n'pull are loaded with those things. I tried one time to get one off and i was a pain in the arse and just gave up. Usually when I try to get things off and they ---- me up the ass I just beat the thing down like Reginald Deny. If I can't have it then noone gets it! lol. I know people hate this ---- but it's out of pure anger. Not just to piss people off. :7

I probably won't run coolant lines again unless I had a really fancy turbo and then I'd use all SS braided lines.

I had water lines on my last setup (14b) and one of the coolant lines started to leak... I almost got stranded on the highway on a 100+ degree day. For a junkyard setup its just another failure point in the system. Don't bother.

Re: how many of you

The coolent lines are not only used when the car is running, they serve a purpose even when the engine is shut off. Once the exhaust stops flowing its no longer bringing the heat away from the turbo, now that thing is cast ------- iron and it heats up like a fat bitch trying to run the mile. The coolent lines are heat transfering tubes that are hooked into a network of water/coolent that your engine and radiator houses. All that water takes a little bit of your turbo's heat.

Having said that I run a t-bird pump and have never run water lines to it ::)
