how many of you

how many of you with the thunderturd 60/63's run the coolant lines to it because they are in kind of fucked up spots on the center section. i ran them on my thunderbird ihi because they are straight up and down from each other but the garrett ones are spaced like 2" apart because the put the drain in between them.

I don't see what the problem is.

Whatever their orientation is it's not hard to connect.

yea they arnt hard to hook up but i know that they came with them connected and its good to run them but honestly does it really matter i just dont want my already cramped engine bay cluster fucked with more lines, hoses, ect. and i want to know out of the people that run this turbo if they had reliabilty issues because they didnt run them

I need to ad this to the faq, I thought this was common knowledge...

You don't need to run them if you're not hitting high boost levels then shutting your car right off.

ok im not trying to argue but more understand. these turbo's mentioned above were factory fitted with coolant lines to survive higher boost scenarios ok i got that but what about turbo's of the same era that were not factory fitted with the coolant lines and are oil only how do they survive at higher boost levels and shutting the car off afterwords? i know i dont have to run them but just trying to get a better understanding of how it makes that big of a difference. ran or not run

Don't waste your time.

I run the same turbo that was on an auto T-bird with no coolant lines. It's just an extra safeguard from the factory to help cool the turbo down from dumbasses that have no idea that boosting hard before you turn the car off can cause the oil to coke and cause damage to the turbo.

Just use common sense and you don't have to worry.

definatly i run the auto t-bird turbo now and i have the lines hooked up so everthing is run already just wanted to fully understand that if i did do away with them that its not cutting the reliabilty factor down or possibly in half. do you run a turbo timer? i thought about adding one in if i did do away with them.

OR just don't boost your way to hell to your house or wherever you end up parking.

No turbo timer, or sitting in your car is necessary.
