quit being such a ----- ;)

Re: How to lower boost (page not up)
go get an actuator that opens at the right psi, lengthening it will give you lots of lag
|
Re: How to lower boost (page not up)
sorry to bring it up again but if you bend in the actuator towards the wastegate that lengthens the arm making less boost
|
Re: How to lower boost (page not up)
how would bending anything make it longer...unless yours is starting with a big bend in it, is that how it is?
|
Re: How to lower boost (page not up)
it wouldnt make the arm longer, but it would push the arm in the actuator more, if thats the case, then thats how the boost is lowered from what im hearing
|
Re: How to lower boost (page not up)
what do you mean push the arm in the actuator in? just make the arm longer or get a new actuator, which is the better idea
|
Re: How to lower boost (page not up)
the reason i brought it up is because I saw the Boost on a Budget article in honda tuning and they just bent in the support bracket which holds the actuator in towards the wastegate/turbo
|
Re: How to lower boost (page not up)
bending the bracket is different than bending the rod itself, yes bending the bracket in or otherwise moving it closer (longer bolts and washers) will lower the boost, but again, you will get lag
|
Re: How to lower boost (page not up)
WAit, Will a boost controller, in my case a manual boost controller, do the job for how much boost i want instead of messing with the actuator/internal wastegate, so that will control the wastegate itself right? Please let me know asap

Re: How to lower boost (page not up)
boost controllers can only raise boost
