It only connects to it. It doesn't flow through it.

Man just drill a hole in your charge pipe stick one end into it(the one that has to go intot he charge pipes) seal it and connect the vacume hose. And leave the other and open.

Those 1st gen DSM ones aren't all too bad.
Crushed they can take quite a bit of psi before they leak, and they also sound good IMHO.
