Default How do you test an internal wastegate?

POP!
Blew a headgasket last week - the wastegate didn't open at 8 psi.

If I use a syringe and force about 8 psi of pressure into the wastegate, is that a good way to test it?

If its an internal wastegate just pull on the arm and plug the nipple with your thumb.Release the arm.If it sucks on your thumb its ok.If nothing happens then the diaphpam is ----.

I used my air compressor with an air regulator.

I unhooked the CO2 tank from my homemadekegorator, set the gauge at different pressures and watched that the wastegates did actually open at 10 psi.

Any kind of forced air and an accurate 0-30 psi guage will do it. I use a compressor and a regulator with the 0-160 psi gauge swapped for a 0-30 one.
