How do I make a gasket?

Re:How do I make a gasket?
Basically you take your gasket material, and put it on your surface that needs the gasket. (Make sure it's clean) It really helps if the edges around the shape that you're making are fairly sharp.
Anyway, you take a ball peen hammer, and you tap out the shape along the edges of the surface. Eventually the surface will have cut the shape out of the gasket material. There's probably a better way of doing this, but this was how I was taught in HS.

If you turbo didnt originaly have a gasktet at the DP like mine, you can get ghetto like I did. Used a thin piece of tin cut from siding material. Cut a rough shape from tin snips, then traced out the gasket shape and used a dremel for the final cut. (the goal being, not to distort or bend the piece). This was a last resort, as I could not find this magical 'gasket maker' in a suitable material. This is the second time I've used this stuff, and it has worked perfectly both times.
