Basically you take your gasket material, and put it on your surface that needs the gasket. (Make sure it's clean) It really helps if the edges around the shape that you're making are fairly sharp.

Anyway, you take a ball peen hammer, and you tap out the shape along the edges of the surface. Eventually the surface will have cut the shape out of the gasket material. There's probably a better way of doing this, but this was how I was taught in HS.

Your better off going to the dealer for whatever turbo the car came off and getting it directly through them..

If you turbo didnt originaly have a gasktet at the DP like mine, you can get ghetto like I did. Used a thin piece of tin cut from siding material. Cut a rough shape from tin snips, then traced out the gasket shape and used a dremel for the final cut. (the goal being, not to distort or bend the piece). This was a last resort, as I could not find this magical 'gasket maker' in a suitable material. This is the second time I've used this stuff, and it has worked perfectly both times.

I've seen Sheets of cork gasket material sold in various places, hardware stores, auto parts stores, etc... but I don't think that cork would make a good gasket for something like exhaust.

Cork is pretty bad, I think Beau tried it on his Turbo B16 along time ago, and it smoked the ---- out of it, burnt into crisps.

I tried that cork thing... yeah it turned into a crunchy peice of charcoal...... so i just got a thin peice of sheet metal... traced the flange on it and cut it with a dremel and it worked ok....
