how do i hook up a tial wastegate? and how do i hook a boost controller to the tial wastegate or any external wastegate?

and how does a wastegate work? Anyone have a diagram? And does it vent out extra exhaust from the turbo manifold or from the turbo. I am confused. THanks!

 

you have to weld the wastegate onto the exhasut manifold.

that is not the optimal way to route the wastegate, but it works.

 

i mean where do the top piece on the wastegate go to? Do i connect it to a boost controller or just leave it there open?

 

Dont have a diagram but.........run a vaccum line from the needle on the top of the wastegate to the correct needle on your B.C( varies among different boost controllers) Then off the 2nd needle run another vaccum line to your intake manifold or the compressor housing on the turbo.

 

some boost controllers are different but if you are not runing one just use a manifold vaccum to the side port, when using a boost controller you use the top port for the controller box
