I put a Trans Am fender vent backwards on my hood to let heat escape. For pics look at my build thread in my sig.

the primary purpose of front spoilers, undertrays and bonnet exit vents is to lower the pressure build-up inside the engine bay, so increasing the pressure differential across the heat exchangers

hood = sucks. the air is meant to flow down infront of the firewall.
blockoff everything but the radiator and intall a plastic undertray that extends back a foot and a half.
