air flow over the hood and generate an underpressure

the reason old muscle cars have cowl hoods is cause they are not aerodynamic. i'm pretty sure that having a reverse scoop on your newer import will not do anything. it might suck some of the hot air out, but if having the hood already like that is not helping then i don't think another vent in the hood would.
