homemade turbo setup with questions and dyno results

Re: homemade turbo setup with questions and dyno results
Like Zeniceguycrx said, you are going to have to boost a little more, just tune it carefully...tuning is the key to life....but it sounds like you already know that...watch your duty cycle on those injectors, it would seem to me like they would be getting pretty close to 90%, you should get yourself some DSM 450's..then you'll have plenty of room for more power...besides, you can usually get them for really cheap

And yes a Ceramic pucked disc will eat up your flywheel. Not a problem if you don't mind replacing it!
I got a little over 100 drag runs last year on my flywheel, and when I pulled it out it had a good 1/16th groove cut into it. But then again, I had 100 full on clutch dumps on it!

Use a stock flywheel, they are cheap and work great. Yes they wear down but a stocker is what.. $10?? lsdmotorsports for the clutch and arp's + napa headgasket. I wouldnt get to hung up on not making 200, its just a number and you do have a stock bottom end.

Re: homemade turbo setup with questions and dyno results
182/179 is nice safe power for 9psi on that turbo.
I made 163/158 with the 15G at 8psi falling to 7 at the top, and stock cat and stock injectors .. ran that for over 1 year. No problems after the ARPs went in.
so, on the stock block with that turbo, you can run 12psi safe with timing retarded appropriately, which would yield a bit over 200WHP. Run that, and be happy
