Since the waste gate boost source is self contained and isolated it will not cause a vaccum leak. It will just bleed off a certain cfm from the waste gate acuator so it will take 10psi to open a 7 psi gate. I use a ball and spring type like in the link. The bleed type tends to spike less from what I used. I had one but it didn't have a big enough bleed hole to relieve boost through so it only upped my boost 2 psi, insted of the 4 I needed it to.

most people get their boost source from the wg b/c it spools the turbo up faster and you don't get the pressure drop you do from putting it straight to the compressor.

it's all good, there's no beef, everyone is entitled to do things their own way. i'm not some nazi mod that gets mad is someone disagrees. i didn't understand what you were saying at first, but then i realized what you were talking about. it works, i just personally don't agree with doing it that way, that's all.
