The heavy duty double worm clamps are tought as nails and cheap as a dead hooker but the rubber connectors are shitty

homedepot couplers suck for heat.

they get really shysty when heated and tend to rip.

I've had home depot couplers in my 8 psi setup for almost 2 years not a single issue out of them. Don't listen to the nay Sayers

The key is keeping the gap between the charge pipes small

i had endless problems with home depot couplers, trick is to make the the pipes line up perfect, no stress bending or pulling on the coupler and a nice amount of space between the pipes for flexing. no problems since.

Yeah, I tried these out when I first started turboing cars and though they were a good solution but wow, ended up costing more to keep replacing them so I just opted for some silicone ones. I ended up just buying the silicone couplings (I actually think they are truck rad hoses) from the parts store and you can cut them to your desired length. Haven't blown one yet.

It's funny seeing those tihngs balloon out! haha, saw it on the dyno and was thinking "holy ----! She can't take much more captain!".

I reckon the further away from the compressor housing the longer it will last. I had a couple of 90 degree bends off of the intercooler and they lasted for a few weeks on an h22a with a t3/t4 on about 8 psi.
